Services and Fees
A brief description of my services and fees can be found below.
Initial Telephone Consultation
I would be happy to speak to anyone over the telephone or video who has concerns about a child's speech and language needs (if you are not a parent, then appropriate consent is required).
In this consultation we can discuss your main concerns and if it is appropriate for a Speech and Language Therapist to support you with these concerns.
Please note: if consultation needs to go over 20 minutes your call will be charged. We will discuss this before you are charged.
Free
Initial Assessment
Initial assessments can take place in your home environment, nursery setting or school. Your assessment will comprise of:

Parent questionnaire which you will complete prior to the assessment

One hour of time to complete formal or informal assessments and observations of your child to gather evidence to determine if your child requires support from a speech and language therapist.

Report with findings, assessment data (where appropriate) and recommendations.
£175
Enhanced Assessment
Enhanced assessments can take place in your home environment, nursery setting or school. This level of assessment is used when looking at your child's spoken language and understanding or language in greater detail. Your assessment will comprise of:

Parent questionnaire which you will complete prior to the assessment

Two hours of time to complete formal or informal assessments and observations of your child to gather evidence to determine if your child requires support from a speech and language therapist.

Telephone consultation with parents or school to gather further evidence or discuss results.

Report with findings, assessment data (where appropriate) and recommendations.
£360
Therapy Sessions
Sessions will take place in your home, in your child's nursery or school setting. Sessions can also take place via video consultation.
In therapy sessions you should expect:

A range of fun and motivating activities to support your child while developing their new skills.

Activities tailored to your individual child's needs and likes.
-
Demonstration so that you can continue with activities between sessions.

Feedback on progress towards mutually agreed goals.
£75 per session*
*Please note: We are unable to provide therapy sessions unless your child has received an initial or enhanced assessment from us. *Sessions are limited to 1 hour. Time for writing notes, discussions re. progress, demonstrations and feedback are all included in the time period allocated for therapy sessions. Any time required for these will be deduced from 1:1 therapy time with your child.
School and Nursery Visits
School or nursery visits can be arranged so that:

Your child can be observed in their educational setting as part of on-going assessment.

Support and guidance can be given to educational staff working with your child.
£75 per session
Telephone Calls
Apart from if outlined above as part of a package, telephone calls to educational settings, other professionals and/or parents if required are charged. You will be informed of and have to agree to any charges related to telephone calls before they take place.
£60 per hour (charged pro rata)
